Visited here for the first time this afternoon. Exceptionally friendly welcome and excellent service. Great food. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area. Best of luck to the new team who have only recently taken over - you’re off to a very good start!

Phenomenal food, fast service, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. I’d recommend the mushrooms on toast and the firecracker chicken burger if you like a little heat!

I had lunch here on Wednesday with my friend & it's the first time that I have been into the pub. First impressions last & we were met with a warm welcome. The menu is reasonably priced & varied. The food was lovely & I had the Salmon with proper mash potatoes & peas & my friend had Scampi & chips. We both had Cheesecake for dessert which were amazing. The service was second to none & I will definitely return. If you want to take your dog with you for food you have to sit in the bar area which is spacious with a stone floor. I would definitely recommend this pub for both food & service

Recently reopened and what a pleasure to visit. We have walked, cycled and driven to this pub. Situated on the main road from Biddulph to Congleton, and a stones throw from the Biddulph valley way, it’s a perfect place for a pit stop. Warm, welcoming and relaxed, serving basic pub grub, but done just right and at a reasonable price! Staff are friendly and welcoming and after a couple of visits, remember you, which adds to the experience. Good selection of beers and wines, with Timothy Taylor being a very nice pint.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented (not overfacing) and the staff friendly and efficient. What I fail to understand is why there weren't more people in there. Does it have something to do with the contact telephone number or failure to book on line? The old telephone number is apparently extinct on the website. In my opinion, it's a place well worth visiting and I shall certainly visit again.

First time eating here since the new owners and was very impressed. Very personable service and delicious home-cooked food, but far superior to usual pub fare. Would highly recommend
